- Install Google Analytics (code) on your website and target your specific audience.
MEDIA (Magazines, Newspapers, Radio, TV, Online)

WEBSITE
- Use WordPress! It’s the gold standard for web pages.
- When I visit your website, will I see a Call-to-Action button, or two or three?
- Is it clear to a visitor what your website is about and what you’re offering?
- Branding, branding, branding. Be consistent with logo, colors, fonts, messaging.
- Install an SEO plug-in on your site and go for the green! (I use Yoast SEO)
- SEO plug-ins remind you to add SEO to your pages and posts. Add keyword phrases, rich content, featured images, headlines, descriptions, inbound and outbound links to index in the search engines.
- Add a newsletter sign-up offering a freebie in exchange for contact info.
- Add unique Lead or Landing Pages to Capture email addresses.
- Lead gathering pop-ups are normally handled by an email marketing provider (like MailChimp or Constant Contact) or a landing page service like Leadpages. You develop the pop-up and they provide a block of code to copy onto the website where you would like the form to pop up.
- Great example: www.onehungrybunny.com
- Add an awesome BLOG or VLOG to your website.
- Example: 33Words.us/blog
- Use Movement in Posts. GIF’s, FB Live, IG Live, YouTube, Vimeo
- Create a video channel on YouTube or Vimeo and use it!
FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGES
- Add a call-to-action button.
- Brand! Cover, profile, logo.
- Review SETTINGS options.
- Use a scheduling calendar to help you diversify your posts.
- Write Facebook posts with clear images, compelling content and a clean URL.
- Be engaging and engage back. You’re “rated” on responsiveness.
- Use hashtags. What are those or why should I use them?
- TAG clients/fans/vendors/partners on your FB page.
- Tags are not hashtags
- @JulesMarie versus #JulesMarie or @33words vs. #33words
- Create a Demographic Audience on FB before you boost or create an ad.
- Example: Open business page. Click Ad Center on White Menu Bar. Then click Audiences and Create several audiences.
- Use Facebook Groups.
- Create Facebook Events.
- Add “Services” and “Shop” to your FB page.
- Install an Instagram tab, a newsletter tab, a YouTube tab, etc., directly to your FB page.
- Install the Facebook pixel on your website after your 1st ad is created.
- Offer a giveaway/contest.
- Ask for visitor reviews on FB and Google My Business.
- Monitor Facebook Insights.
- Tags are not hashtags
- Twitter is a microblogging site using a max of 280 characters.
- News breaks faster on Twitter than anywhere else online.
- Use hashtags.
- Tweet daily or multiple times daily.
- Explore hashtags and Tweet on Twitter trends to increase visibility.
